The enormous variety of flora and fauna, beautiful white sandy beaches and rugged rocky headlands with magnificient steep cliffs are the main attractions of the national park.

Catching a glimpse of the Proboscis Monkey is a must! Also, jungle-trekking, hiking, camping, swimming, fishing, bird and wildlife-watching afford plenty of opportunities to enjoy Bako’s eco-diversity.

You’ll get better chances to catch sight of wildlife if you go in the early morning or late afternoon.

To get to Bako National Park, you may reach Kampung Bako via a 40 minute drive from Kuching followed by a 25 minute boat ride. Kuching International Airport has direct flights from Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang and Kota Kinabalu.
