Perlis is smallest and more in north state in Malaysia, with the longest extent of the stone hills dependent on lime - the chain of Nakawan, sweeping along the border of the North-West with Thailand. Gunung Perlis, which delimits international, offers astonishing sights of close Thailand and Pulau Langkawi.
Although smallest of all the states, Perlis is not without its attractions, first among what is its serene beauty - thanks to its scenes and rustic rural fields of padi of bearing.
An important attraction in Perlis is Gua Kelam. Approximately 36km located of Kangar, it was in the past well-known for its tin Oregon Gua Kelam of quality, or the sunk caves, asserts a meter-length passage of cave 370 dug outside stone with massive lime by an underground jet.
The other popular tourist attractions includes the Wang Kelian Park, the garden of sweet herbs in Sungai Batu Pahat, the state museum of Kayang, the lake récréationnel Timah Tasoh, a park of snake in Sungai Batu Pahat, the wholesale market with Wang Kelian and activities of border trade in Padang Besar.
Still another attraction is the small picturesque lake, Tasik Melati, north localised approximately of 8km of Kangar. The lake is not very deep with more than 150 islands of sand bank on top. The visitors can row sampan in these tiny islands. High roofed passageways are found above water, this fact providing from the advantageous points of view and sitting them for visitors.
