Sipadan island in the south-east coast near the island of Sabah, is one of five diving sites in the world for many years. Sabah has been a hot humid climate with temperatures below 30C rarely dipping in the afternoon. The rainy season began in November, with the start of the monsoon in the northeast of Peninsular Malaysia and the end of April, with most rain falling in the month of January.
