Telekom Museum

The Telekom Museum is an unique 2 storey Neo Classical Greek architecture built in 1928, is nestled among Kuala Lumpur’s skyscrappers at the junction of Jalan Raja Chulan and Jalan Gereja and served as a telephone exchange in the old days.

This building was almost demolished when the plans were halted and the building was designated for conservation. Over RM10 million was well spent to restore the building.

The museum showcases the telecommunications development for the past 120 years, from the early days of the Morse code telegraph to the modern cellular phones and digital networks of today. On display are some equipment dating back to the pre-war days.
